It is my pleasure to welcome you to the 2009 South Central Wisconsin Builders Association’s Parade of Homes.

For the past 21 years, local highly skilled professional builders and their subcontractors have been showcasing their quality craftsmanship, innovation in design, and the latest in technological advancements related to the building industry during the Parade of Homes.  As we are all aware, this year has presented some challenges to just about every business in America, with the building industry and the existing home market at the forefront.  Challenges that we as an Association chose to adapt to, and to see the housing market as a detour, not a roadblock.  For 2009, the builders of South Central Wisconsin Builders Association have created an outstanding line-up of beautiful new homes, and finely crafted remodeled homes to give an excellent variety of projects to view.

Keep in mind, the primary goal of the Parade has always been to inspire you to want to build that dream home you’ve thought about for years, or maybe expand or improve your existing home.  So start thinking about that dream kitchen that you can comfortably accommodate all of your family and friends during the holidays, or how about a massive garage that will accommodate all of your toys!  Whatever your dream may be, big or small, you can rest assured by “hiring a professional” of the South Central Wisconsin Builders Association will give you comfort in knowing you hired the best in the business. 

There are so many people that make the Parade a success every year.  I would like to thank Neal Jakel, this year’s Parade of Homes Chairman, and the entire committee for donating their time and expertise to ensure we have a top-notch parade.  Thank you also to Carol Engebretson, our outstanding Executive Officer who works countless extra hours of her time to make it all come together.  And of course the owners, that unselfishly allow thousands of people to walk through their homes.

All of our builders and subcontractors take great pride in displaying these homes to all of you.  I hope you enjoy touring the 2009 Parade Homes, and thank you again for attending this year’s Parade!
